Lions fan becomes local hero after ejection for "Fire Millen" sign

Tackled, beaten and told he was banned from Ford Field for life for carrying a "Fire Millen" sign, 25 year-old Duncan DeBruin earns sympathy of all Detroit.

DeBruin: "Anyone who has a 20-56 record and is in charge of one of the worst franchises in all of the NFL should be fired."

Paper: The Lions said DeBruin violated two stadium rules. Ford Field guidelines say fans are not allowed to bring banners or signs into the stadium. The Lions also said DeBruin's game of hide-and-seek was a "security violation," and they feared someone could get injured.

No banners at the yard?...How weak! Especially banners that speak the truth.

I hope that the owners of the Detroit Lions can finally see that their fans DON'T want to see Matt Millen as the figurehead of the organization. They need to get rid of him quick.

I'm pretty sure that Lions fans could care less if Millen were the figurehead. The problem seems to be that he's making all of the personnel decisions.

As for the banner ban I find it suspicious. I mercifully haven't watched any Lions games, but I doubt if the people holding cute and fun banners like:

Ford Field Security

eXperts

get chased around and banned for life. I mean the only way for people to run from you is if you chase them. I know that and I've only owned a dog for like 8 months. I think banning the fan from Lion's games for life may be doing him a favor.

Does that mean we won't ever have to see the Giant "D" and a crappy picket "fence" at Ford Field ever again? What about John 3:16? How will I ever survive without those signs?
