Psh, I'd be pissed too. I'm not staying home while my husband gets to go to the games. I am going to those games myself, thank you very much!

Some of the comments were harsh, but she was a tad whiny and unyielding (then again, her husband's a raging lunatic for not "giving" her the ticket). I think the column says as much about the marriage, though -- eg. they're already having problems. What, no talk of compromise? Football is the South is all about family. While the kids are that young (still nursing) the guy has to suck it up and watch the games on TV, maybe selling some of his season tickets for a profit and maybe only catching one or two big games a season. When the kids get big enough (like four or five), then it's RV time. Or even better, drop them off at the grandparents'. I know my grandparents had to take care of me when my parents went to games when I was little.
But, yeah, if that column is accurate, they both need a little relationship counseling.

And women wonder why men are commitment-phobic or slow to get married...

Six days out of the year to do something he really loves is too much. Welcome to marriage, please check your passion and soul at the door; you won't be needing it!

Hey now Chris! As a woman and a crazy football fan, I resent that!
