Are Psycho Fans Wrecking the Oakland Raiders?
Fear of the "Black Hole" keeps suburban fans away.
"Why go to a Raider game if there is a chance of a confrontation with one of those tattooed, painted, aggressive nuts we see on television?"
Cop: "People kind of bought into the idea that the Coliseum was someplace where they could go and act like idiots."

I attended a Raiders game a few years ago with my brother-in-law. As we had a few beers in the overflow parking lot, we met a couple of guys who were doing the same...and then some. They were not dressed in spiked shoulder pads or skeleton masks, but one of them was a local sheriff's deputy and was carrying a concealed firearm...even as he drank heavily and ingested a few other controlled substances (by his own admission). If a law enforcement official NOT dressed as a lunatic was doing this, what are the real Raiders fans doing in the way of pre-game festivities and "self defense"?
Raider games are a blast, even if the team stinks. The fans aren't the badasses everyone makes them out to be. It's a working class group for the most part, not the luxury box crowd the NFL wants. Just wear something black with skull and bones on it and you have nothing to fear.
