Two things may have made it happen...the beer ban inside the game or the visiting fans from Arkansas. We'll know in three weeks when SC has its next home game.
Hate to say it, but USC killed Alabama at beer drinking some 25 years ago, in Tuscaloosa. My father was part owner of the bar, and a trio of students from each school had to empty a few mugs in a race. One of the big networks covered it (nice family viewing), and each side had a spiritual mentor. We had Joe ("I wanna kiss you!") Namath, they had....OJ.
You missed the other side, which has four flat screen TVs and a satellite to play all the games. I've been to SEC country and NEVER saw that before. But then, I don't think SEC fans really care about watching teams except their own.
