TTown Bound...
Time for a little fear and loathing on I-59/20. Heading to the 'Ham tonight, and then on to Tuscaloosa with friends for the Big Game. If you're in Tuscaloosa tomorrow, stop by the Supe Store in the Ferguson Center on campus -- I'll be signing RJYH there from 11am to 1:30pm. After that I put my fan cap on (if you've read RJYH, you know that I mean that figuratively; caps are actually bad luck for me on game day.) If he gets his act together, I may even connect the truly mad Orson Swindle of EDSBS;if you check out his site, you'll see why that makes me very nervous.
Also, check out the nuts at FootballOutsiders, who -- fresh off their monster deal with Fox -- invited me to join in their weekly pre-game discussion. They think Florida is going to win, but Russ tells me not to worry; he's usually wrong. Russ -- I hope you're right; or is that wrong? I'll sort it out by gametime....

Raise a glass for Tyrone Prothro. He'll be back next year and being the playmaker he has always been. His injury put a damper on the party here, but it is a huge victory for Shula.
oh. and congrats to those other guys for beating the Holtz'ified Gamecocks. At home. With no quarterback.
Did drinks with some former Bama linemen, and was caught of guard when on called me out on my Harry's Bar T shirt. He apparently met his wife there, but i refuse to take responsibility!

Wha happened? It's Sunday afternoon and I still like I got punched in the stomach -- depersonalized. Congratulations, Tide, on outplaying the dogshit out of us. I respectfully concede. Especially after an indecipherable message from a friend @ 'Bama (entered in my phone drunkenly as "Scott Tusbaloo") that surely confirmed my depression. Warren, I love your book (from a distance, of course. I and those I have recommended it to like it from a Southern football fan standpoint -- we can relate.
