RJYH at Powell's Books

Had a great turnout tonight of Ducks fans, Notre Dame fans, Bama fans, people who are apathetic towards sports, people who hate sports, and people who walked by and wondered what a bunch of people were doing decked out in football gear at a bookstore in the football averse town of Portland. Thanks much to Powell's Books and to everybody who came out (and went out afterwards...). And thanks especially to Dave, Beth and Crofton for showing me around the beautiful and improbably sunny town of Portland.

Ric Seaberg -- Bama Bomb chef, composer of the Rammer Jammer theme song, Airstream fanatic and all around nice guy -- with Blaine (front) his Blazers loving son. Thanks Ric!

They're...everywhere!!

Rob Neyer, ESPN Baseball writer, statistics maniac, long-suffering fan of the Jayhawks and Royals, and Dave. Thanks for the cool Powell's cap Rob.

Impromptu post-reading tailgate party at the local brew house. Out of respect for the reputations of all, no photos were taken after this moment.

Thanks to all for coming out, and thanks again to Powell's, an incredible bookstore. I hope to be back soon.

Hey Warren,

We enjoyed it! It's fun to have a home link in Portland from time to time! Happy touring!

"...the local brew house."

In Portland, you have to be a little more specific.

Good point. The Bridgeport I believe -- about 15-feet from the front door of the bookstore!
