Odd: Bama, Penn State, Vandy and Columbia all undefeated
Bama is 4-0 and Columbia 2-0 for the first time since 1996. The last time Vandy was 4-0 was in 1982.
D.
Bama's win over the Pigs on Saturday was of the 'ugly, but I'll take it,' variety. Lots of dropped balls and missed chances to put the game away early. But I think everyone knew the Pigs would come to play after having their manhood taken away by the NFL's USC Trojans. We'll have to play better to beat the Gators next weekend, not just because they're good, but because, as the sports press keeps reminding us, Urban Meyer is a direct descendent of God Almighty.
The RJYH Blog Poser Patrol this week throws flags at Louisville and Georgia Tech: 15 yards for impersonating a top 25 team, plus banishment to the realm of the unranked, for their pathetic performances.

I went to that USF-Louisville game just for something to do for the day and was stunned at how bad Louisville looked. The 33,000 fans on hand were having the time of their lives. Biggest win ever in the school's program I would imagine. There's a few images on my blog for anyone that's interested.
Yeah, the Arkansas game was ugly, but a w is a w. Arkansas was able to run the ball against our D because of misdirection plays, which work well against a speedy aggresive defense like we have. A lot of the Urban Meyer offense is based on misdirection plays so our D has its work cut out for itself. I hate to play this game up bigger than it is, but I can't remember a game with so much importance. Considering everything this program has been through, including the fans, a win would mean so much. I would probably be shedding tears of joy all night long. Roll Tide!!!
I can't believe *you* --of all people-- would confuse the NYT with being the "sports press". Gee whiz. Have half those guys even been to a college game?!
Yeah, I called the Louisville thing way back. God would never allow a crap team like the Cards to get a BCS spot.
Hooray for Bama ordering some Stick 'Em.
